I absolutely hate feeling stupid.

We received our HUD-1 last night. A HUD-1 is the spreadsheet of settlement charges when you close a loan. I don't know if it is used for all types of loans or just FHA ones.

Anyway, I can't figure out how to read it. It compares in some places to the GFE and others not at all. We made an appointment with our broker to go through it step by step tonight.

If I am reading it right our closing costs due are only $1,117.53 which is reflective of $451 already paid and $1,100 seller paid closing costs. So I guess that makes 2,668.53 the actual total but for all I know it could be 5 million.

Wish me luck tonight. I can't believe we close tomorrow. It doesn't feel real. We are mostly packed and are getting help moving from a few guys I work with. My awesome company is paying for them!
